“My cardigan design captures the moment before new leaves burst from their buds,” says Emma Vining. “I have used a single twisted stitch on a reverse stocking stitch background so that the stalks and stems look like they have been ‘drawn’ onto the knitting. Mixing the stitch patterns by combining twisted stitches, a wide rib and reverse stocking stitch ensures that this design has flattering long lines.”
