Xavier the Observant Owl
This pattern just came out on 3/7/13. It is on sale for $4 for the first month, make sure to grab it now! It will be up to it’s regular $6 price on 4/7.
Who doesn’t love owls?! I think there is something in those big round eyes that just sucks us in. I see everywhere these days in all different shapes, sizes, and colors. Especially since I had a baby, owls seem to be the “It” item for babies these days! I wanted to do my own take of this popular critter, and I have to say I am very pleased with my final results! I can definitely see this guy sitting in the chair in your nursery, or snuggling with your kids.
This knitting pattern from Danger Crafts will show you how to knit Xavier the Observant Owl. This pattern is so much fun to knit, and this is my second pattern where I have included instructions on how to to work him in one piece so you have minimal finishing. (If this seems terrifying to you, I have also included my normal knit-it-separately-and-sew-it-together-in-the-end directions as well. You pick, but either way, I promise knitting this pattern will be a complete HOOT! This pattern is very fun and once you knit one owl, you will find you want to knit a whole flock! Especially since once your friends and any kids you know see your finished owl they are going to start putting in requests for their own owls.
