Xstatic is worked seamlessly from the top down using the contiguous set-in-sleeves method developed by Susie Myers. First the yoke is worked back and forth until neck shaping is complete, then joined to knit in the round. When the yoke shaping is complete, the sleeve stitches are placed on hold and the underarm stitches are cast on, using your preferred cast on method. Then the body is worked in the round to the ribbing with A-line shaping. Sleeve stitches are picked up again to work the sleeves top down in the round to the end. Neck finishing is worked last. As this jumper is worked from the top down it is advisable to try it on from time to time to check the length and overall fit. The length and width of the yoke are easily adjustable by adding/ reducing increases, or adding/ reducing underarm stitches

Yarn
Nature’s Luxury On Stage (50% wool, 30% silk, 20% camel; 327 yds 300 m / 100g): Paris a le Blues; 4 (4, 4, 5, 5, 5, 6) skeins, or a similar yarn that gives you the correct gauge and a pleasant fabric.

Needles
US 4 (3.5 mm) circular needle, 16” (40 cm) and 32” (80 cm) long and DPNs, for neck finishing, body ribbing and sleeve ribbing.
US 5 (3.75 mm) circular needle, 32” (80 cm) long and DPNs, for body and sleeves.
Adjust needle size if necessary to get gauge.

Gauge
22.5 sts x 33 rows = 4 x 4” (10 x 10 cm) in St st on larger needle.
