xstitch has now made 100 projects using my patterns, which is why I made this little tribute to her with some x-shaped stitches.

When the cowl is laid flat you see 10 X’s which in roman numerals would be a hundred.

I knitted the original one with “Knitting Goddess” yarn - which seems equally appropriate.

I sent her the pattern as a “mystery” for her 100th knit.

You’ll need at least 150m of DK, worsted, aran or chunky weight yarn.

You’ll only need to print page 3 for the instructions.
The stitch used is based on Barbara Walker’s bowknot stitch, but I made some slight changes and show you in photos exactly how to work it.
