Yayla
Named for the layered hills of the Anatolian highlands, this reversible triangular shawl is a zigzag combination of 1 by 1 Rib and Stockinette stitches, punctuated by eyelet rows and edged in Garter stitch.
Materials Spiral Grain Light Worsted, 6 skeins, 50g each,
shown in Sugar Pine
Dimensions 75”/190.5 cm wide, 28”/71 cm deep, unblocked
Needles US 7/4.5 mm circular, suggested 32-48”/80-120 cm long
Notions Tapestry needle, stitch markers as needed
Gauge 20 sts x 28 rows in Reverse Stockinette stitch, unblocked = 4”/10 cm
Gauge is not crucial, but will affect yarn usage and the finished size of the work
Skill level Intermediate
