YOG - Jayne Jumper
The first in a Year of Garments (YOG!)
A very easy to make, loose fitting comfy jumper ideal for a first clothing project. Made in a light and fluffy yarn, the pattern uses trebles for the main stitch, chains and double crochet to start and has some easy increases on the sleeves. It is designed to be worn with approx. 4in / 10cm of positive ease.
There are 9 sizes from 81cm - 163cm chest (32” to 64”)
Gauge is 5 V-st amd 6.5 rows to 10cm using 6mm hook.
V-st is 2tr in one stitch or in ‘V’ of V-st in previous row.
While this is a chunky yarn, it is also a specific type with mohair, so is very light and airy. While a light chunky is preferable, I have also made a similar design in James C Brett - Marble Chunky, this creates a thicker more substantial jumper.
