Sc - single crochet
Sk - skip
scVinc - single crochet V stitch increase
( Sc, ch2, sc, ch2, sc ) all in the same space
Granny stitch - work 3dc in the same stitch or space
Stacked sc - make a sc, insert your hook into the left leg of the sc just completed, YO pull up the loop, YO and pull through the two loops on the hook.
Notes

  • Turning ch1 doesn’t count as a stitch

  • Instructions x # = we repeat the instructions between the brackets the indicated number of times

  • Alternatives to the first dc of the row - in this pattern I have you start with a stacked sc to replace the ch3 typically done to start a dc row. If you don’t like this option, choose any of the following: Make a loose turning ch and work a dc in the first st Work a sc and a ch1 with the ch1 being the top of your stitch Work an extended sc While I have you start the pattern
with a magic loop you could substitute this for a ch4, sl st to the first ch to form a loop and then work the first round into the loop.
