• Pumpkin 6.0mm (J/10) hook yarn needle

Gauge
4 shells or 16sts and 8 rows = 6”
gauge is not super important with this project but your finished lovey may not have the same finished dimensions

Finished Dimensions
lovey- 20” x 20”
sun- approx. 6” at its widest point

Special Stitches

SH- Shell
2dc. Ch2. 2dc in same space. First SH of every round is Ch3. 1dc. Ch2. 2dc

INC SH- Increase Shell
1dc. Ch2. 2dc. Ch3. 2dc. Ch2. 1dc in same st.

Notes

Sl st into beginning Ch3 to join each round
To start next round: Sl st into next dc. Sl st into Ch2 and begin next SH in Ch2 space
To change color: Starting with current color, insert hook in Ch2 sp. YO with new color. Pull new color through loop on hook. Begin chaining with new color. For added security you may want to tie tails together
