CONSTRUCTION
The YOU ARE STRONG shawl is worked flat in two mirrored pieces, similar to wings, which are seamed together to finish. It uses a two color repeat that requires working each side twice before turning to prevent excess ends-weaving.

SKILLS USED
Chain, slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet, working into chain spaces, single crochet picot, join-as-you-go seam OR mattress stitch OR zipper slip stitch seam, working with two colors

110 (140, 170, 200, 230)
Sizes indicate approximate blocked wingspan in cm and equate to 3.5 (4.5, 5.5, 6.5, 7.5) ft. If you are between sizes or prefer a cozier fit, size up!

2 colors of DK weight yarn

• C1: 278 (393, 601, 855, 1155) yd
• C2: 151 (220, 347, 782, 1057) yd

HOOK
US K-10.5 / 6.5 mm (or size to match gauge)

GAUGE
12 sts x 9 rows in pattern stitch = 4” x 4” blocked
