YUKI No. 2 Pullover
Designer’s Note
Our YUKI Collection is a design collaboration between Japanese knitwear designer Yuki Kushida and Tanja Lay.Deceptively simple geometric shaping unifies this line, in some cases with surprising results.
This top packs fiber punch! ITO Tebiki and ITO Asa yarns are worked together to give YUKI No. 2 its incredible mix of silk, cotton and linen. ITO Tebiki is 100% raw Tussah silk, undyed and hand-twisted, giving it a distinctive texture – it doesn’t get more natural than this! ITO Asa (72% Linen, 18% Cotton, 10% Silk) compliments Tebiki with a hint of shine, added stitch definition, and of course some extra color. The overall feeling is earthy with rich color and texture. The fit of YUKI No. 2 is loose and casual with lines evoking its Japanese roots. Knit it our way or experiment with ITO Asa’s range of nine colors.
Pattern Notes
The two identical front and back pieces are knit flat and joined after finishing. Kitchener stitch is used to graft shoulder seams, side seams are sewn. Arm and neck finishing in the round.
