The Yule Log is a fun, festive crochet ornament pattern, complete with holly leaf and berry embellishments in 3 sizes.

The pattern is written in English using standard US crochet terms.

Skills Used:
This is a relatively simple pattern with a few interesting techniques; Crocheting in continual rounds with simple increases. Working in the back and front loops for the holly leaf and slip stitch joining.
It uses simple stitches and includes a photo guide for some of the parts beginners may find trickier, as well as tutorials for the special stitches.

Materials:
You will need a 3.5mm crochet hook and around 55-120m/83-132yds double knit yarn, depending on size chosen. The majority of the yarn will be in brown with a small amount required in white, green and red.

Yarns A-C: James C Brett 100% Pure dk Cotton, 100% cotton. 100g ball 215m / 236yds
Yarn A: Shade IC41 - Rich Coffee
Yarn B: Shade - IC09 - Cream
Yarn C: Shade - IC33 - Emerald
Yarn D: Rico Baby Cotton Soft, 50% cotton, 50% acrylic. 50g ball = 125m / 138 yds
Yarn D: Shade 035 - Red
A locking stitch marker may be useful when working the spiral. Safety compliant stuffing is required as well as a yarn needle and scissors.

Small: Circumference: 15cm/6in Length: 11cm/4.5in
Medium: Circumference: 19cm/7.5in Length: 11cm/4.5in
Large: Circumference: 25cm/10in Length: 14cm/5.5in
