I designed this shawl while visiting the Netherlands so I had to give it an appropriate name!
The shawl is worked from one tip to the other. It is written in such a way that you can make it as large or as little as you want. I used light fingering weight yarn and one skein was enough to make a nicely sized and very lightweight shawlette. But you can choose any weight yarn, I think it would be quite spectacular in a smooth aran weight yarn on larger needles!
If working the shawl in 4 ply yarn I would suggest 4.5mm needle. For DK weight - 5mm, and for aran weight 5mm - 5.5mm needle.

Finished measurements: wingspan - 133cm, depth - 42cm

The pattern is both written out and charted.
