Zebra came to my mind when playing around with those gorgeous yarns showing very long colour runs with very smooth transitions.
The effect of the interplay when combining two yarns and at the same time making use of short rows systematically to get those arrow-like structures is great, the expertise to do so is not. In other words: The yarn and some simple technique do it all for you.
Though the idea could be transferred to many other formats (and I have done so), the effect used for this wide and long scarf is very appealing to me. I am very happy with my Zebra!

Working my Zebra, there are two recommendations:
Please look at the charts.
You may pay attention to the fact that according to the chart the first row on Chart A is a wrong side row.

Then Zebra is knitted in Stocking stitch, for non-rolling edges with a rather low tension.

The material used makes all the difference.

A woolen spun yarn will stay flat with only a little bit of steam.

Using a worsted spun yarn some of the effect is taken away and severely blocking is recommended.

Maybe when using a worsted spun yarn some halo will help, too.
