This pattern includes both the written instructions and the chart with Xs for creating this mosaic crochet design. The size can be adjusted by altering the weight of the yarn and size of the hook or by adding/removing repeats. The chart size is in the blanket pictured is 193x199. The size of your piece will vary depending on the number of repeats you select, the yarn and hook used, and your specific gauge.

The technique is mosaic crochet overlay, where the colors alternate each row. You will be working on the same side of each row, so the front of the blanket is always facing you.

You can hide the ends with a double (envelope) border.

You will need two colors, approximately 2000 yards of each color for the pictured blanket. I have suggested two brands of yarn that I typically use, but you can use the brand of your choice.
