The Zigg Zagg socks are a highly customizable pair of socks. Newer knitters for example might not feel up to a full colorwork sock just yet so can opt to do only one repeat of the colorwork on the leg. Whilst another knitter might opt for a colorwork sock with only the textured chart appearing once on each sock. Or go for a pair of fraternal socks! The pattern is written to get a pair of socks to match the sample in the picture, but everywhere where a specific chart is mentioned you can replace it with the chart of your choice. Do be aware that if you choose to customize your socks that your yardage requirements will vary! These socks are knit from the top down.

Sock is available in size small (56 stitch cast on), medium (64 stitch cast on) and large (72 stitch cast on).

Gauge is 9 stitches per inch and 11 rows per inch (in stockinette).

Sample is size medium and was knit in G-B Wolle Sprint in colorway 685 (MC) and used 278 meters (304 yards). Sample has a 9 inch foot. For the bands of colorwork sock yarn scraps were used, of each color about 7 meters (8 yards) was used.

Materials:
• 350 meters (383 yards) fingering weight yarn (MC).
• 10 meters (11 yards) of fingering weight yarn in two contrasting colors (CC 1 and CC 2).
• 2.5 mm (US 1.5) double pointed or circular needles
• Tapestry needle

De Zigg Zagg sokken zijn geheel naar wens aan te passen. Je kan ervoor kiezen om het ingebreide patroon te vervangen door een extra herhaling van het reliëf patroon, of juist om de hele sok met het ingebreide patroon te breien. Of mix & match! Het patroon geeft instructies voor een paar sokken zoals op de foto hierboven, maar overal waar verwezen wordt naar een bepaald schema kan je het schema van je keuze gebruiken. Wees je er wel van bewust dat het aantal benodigde meters dan wel kan variëren. Deze sokken worden van de boord richting de teen gebreid.

Het patroon is beschikbaar in maat small (met een opzet van 56 steken), medium (met een opzet van 64 steken) en large (met een opzet van 72 steken).

De steekverhouding is 9 steken per 2.5 cm en 11 toeren per 2,5 cm in tricot.

Het voorbeeld is gebreid in G-B Wolle Sprint in kleur 685 (HK). Voor de contrasterende kleuren zijn restjes gebruikt. Van de hoofdkleur is 278 meter gebruikt en van de contrasterende kleuren ongeveer 7 meter per kleur. Het voorbeeld is mat medium en heeft een voet van 23 cm.
