The pattern offers two versions of the ripple stitch pattern, an open eyelet lace version shown in the images and a closed increases version (not shown on the pattern).

The scarf is knitted in garter stitch but you could work some sections of the pattern repeat in stocking stitch (keeping the garter stitch edges) for more variation.

The pattern is suitable for any 4ply yarn. It works well in sock and long colour change yarns as these yarns emphasises the chevron/ripple stitch.
