A stylish two-tone scarf with graphic surface patterns. You first crochet the base of the scarf, leaving small spaces. Then you add the pattern by crocheting into the spaces using a different color, slightly heavier yarn.

Apart from the yarn mentioned in the notes you can use any DK weight yarn for the base of the scarf and any Aran weight yarn for the surface crochet.
