Since Advent season starts this weekend, here’s a “christmassy” pattern. It’s called “Zimtstern” because its look reminds me of the traditional Christmas cookie of the same name.

The Zimtstern mitts are started at the thumb then increased - they combine techniques used in the hexagon mitts and the circle mitts. The stitches in star shape are added as surface crochet (or surface slip stitches) in between the knitted rows.
