Note from the pattern designer: As has been noted in the comments, this pattern is full of errors- there appears to have been a major mistake or twelve during the typesetting process. Unfortunately, I do not have the final pattern due to a computer crash, do not own the book, and cannot provide corrections. I also no longer design knitting patterns. Please contact the publisher, who commissioned this as a work for hire and owns the copyright (and presumably has the correct and complete pattern somewhere).
