Arguably the simplest of sweater constructions, this circular yoke pullover features radiating main-color spokes of slipped stitches against a background of contrasting-color garter ridges. The long gradient in the contrasting color gives a painterly look to the yoke.
Worked from the top down, this pullover begins with a provisional cast-on at the neck. Increases are worked in concentric rounds to the base of the armholes, at which point the body and sleeves are worked separately (in rounds) to the lower edges. It’s therefore easy to adjust the body and sleeve lengths to suit your preferences.
There are no seams to sew!
The yoke begins with a multiple of 3 stitches (2 stitches between the slip-stitch columns) and ends as a multiple of 11 stitches (10 stitches between the slip-stitch columns). The exact number of of stitches at each stage of the yoke shaping is given in the instructions.
The yoke is shaped with increases worked in the contrast-color garter-stitch sections between the 1-stitch main-color slipped-stitch columns.
Between the youke increase rounds, all the garter-stitch sections will contain the same number of stitches.
