Zork
by Georg Hawks
Discontinued.
This digital pattern is no longer available online.
Zork is one of the oldest text-based adventure games. One of my favorite lines is:
You are in a maze of twisty halls all alike. It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.
So this sock is all about finding the grue in the maze of brick walls.
I used black silver sock yarn to remind one of the flickering screens. You are welcome to replace the purled stitches with knit stitches in a different yarn of amber or pale green.
