I’m always looking for ways to incorporate Granny Squares into my work and when I had the idea to insert one into the top of a racerback style tank I had to give it a shot. Why stop at just one square when I could add a series of squares to the front as well?

This tank is designed to be worn fitted. Sample is shown with 12.5 cm / 5” of negative ease. Sizes given are the actual finished circumference of the garment, choose a size that is 7.5-15 cm / 3-6” smaller than your chest circumference.
Gauge
24 stitches and 32 rows = 10 cm / 4” square in stockinette stitch, knit flat and in the round, after blocking.
A 3 round Granny Square = 6 cm / 2.5” square, after blocking.
Recommended Needles
Size D 3.25mm crochet hook.
3.5 mm (US size 4) 40-80 cm / 16-32” circular needle.
2.75 mm (US size 2) 40 cm / 16” circular needle.
