A collection of 5 shawlettes designed to be both simple and sweet. Three pieces use lace, while two incorporate textured stitches.
This collection celebrates the art of subtle romance with simple aesthetic and ease of execution. There are many amazing knit shawls out there that I would consider works of art, but for this collection I wanted simplicity to be key. I wanted a look that was romantic but practical, feminine but not too frilly. As romance is almost always tied in with flowers, both the lace and textured stitch patterns used in the shawlettes are floral-inspired. You may find a new stitch to learn, but overall the constructions are easy to work.
Although they come in various shapes, each shawlette is worked down from the top, allowing you to adjust the size if necessary (see individual patterns for notes concerning customizing size). The patterns are written for fingering or sport weight yarns, but lace or worsted weight may also be used if that is your preference.
