Beorn is a Northman, a Shape-shifter, Skinchanger, and the last of his kind. He has the ability to change his form between that of large man and large bear. He was held in captivity (as were most of his kind), enslaved by Azog The Defiler, escaped, and continues to wear a chain on his wrist as a reminder of that time. The mitts and hat both begin with a chain cable knitted flat and joined; the remainder of the garments are knit in the round.

This e-book includes instructions for the Beorn hat, mitts, and fingerless mitts in both worsted and DK (four separate patterns).
