Castle Fraser throughout the year is a collection of accessories, inspired by one of the grandest Scottish baronial tower house, its architecture, decoration and history.
This eBook includes 6 items. The first pattern, Windows and Balustrades, is inspired by the impressive sculptural facade of Castle Fraser. The second pattern, Balustrades and Slates (Beanie and Slouchy Hat) draw their design elements from what can be seen at the top of the big round tower. The third pattern, a fully stranded and lined pair of mittens, is inspired by a little woodcarving featuring an intriguing standard-bearer sheep, which can be found in one of the smallest rooms in the castle. The fourth pattern embodies the return of Spring and the daffodils in the grounds of the Castle. The fifth pattern is inspired by the original wallpaper in the library. The sixth pattern is a long and skinny shawl inspired by the iron gates in the walled garden beside the castle.
Castle Fraser throughout the year is also the first volume of a series of eBooks inspired by Scottish Castles: Scottish Castles: A Tour in Handknits.
