Each 3.5 inch (9 cm) tall decoration takes about 2 hours to make - less if you use a knitting machine.

If you have been saving scraps of yarn, this is your chance to use them up. Just remove a ply or two to get the weight you need. Each decoration takes about 24 yards (22meters) to complete.
