Jen lives in Somerset, Kate lives in central Scotland. They are separated by distance, but the Cross-Country Knitting project enables them to share their design ideas and collaborate fruitfully across the country. Their brief for volume 3 was to create women’s accessories inspired by birds.

Volume 3 includes the patterns for Murmuration Scarf (by Kate) and Fufnip Fingerless Mittens and Hat (by Jen), together with an essay by Kate Davies, on the inspiration to be derived from birds.
