“This little piggie went to the market. This little little cow said moo.” Barina said as she happily played with her farm finger puppets. Grandma Bon-Bon had made barn tote with the most adorable finger puppets. Knock, knock, knock, Barina heard banging at the door. She got up and went to the door to see who had come to visit. “Hello Shelly!” Barina said hi to her friend the Shelly the spring chicken. “What are you up to today? Shelly asked. “I was just playing with my farm toys when you knocked. I was going to be sitting down to some tea and reading a good book soon. Would you like to come in and join me?” Barina asked. “Oh I love tea and reading! Don’t mind if I do!” and Shelly ran past Barina into the living room. “Oh these are so fantastic! Did your Grandma Bon-Bon make these for you?” she asked as she began to play with her toys. “She did. I was just playing with them and remembering a story my Grandma used to read to me about a Farmer and his wife. Would you like to hear the story?” Barina said as she continued to make tea. “Yes please! I love a good book and tea time.” The two friends adjourned to the family room and Barina began to tell the tale. “A very long time ago there was a Farmer named Jaxon who lived on a Farm with his wife Josie. They were the happiest people on Earth. Not only were they happy but they were also kind to the animals they cared for on the farm. One day an evil sorceress, was roaming the countryside and heard the young farmer and his wife being happy and enjoying the company of all their farm animal friends and became incensed. She hated that anyone could be this happy when she herself had no friends and was forced to roam the Earth alone. She decided she would take the farmers’ happiness by taking away their precious animals and making them choose between their lives and the animals. She knew that they would eventually betray their friends and this pleased her much. One dark and stormy evening, the sorceress disguised herself as a pig with wings and approached the Farmer’s door. She knocked on the door and Jaxon opened the door. “Hello kind farmer, my name is Marilyn and I seek shelter from the storm. May I come in?” Jaxon could not believe his eyes. There was a pig at the door and it was talking! How ould this be? “Do my eyes deceive me or are you a…pig that talks?” Jaxon timidly asked. What will the magical piggie say?
