Knit.wear Fall/Winter 2016 features two stories for the modern knitter, Street Style and Iki.

Our Street Style story is full of urban, hip women’s garments and accessories. Iki is a Japanese aesthetic inspired story; simplicity is key with clean lines, minimal but impactful details, feminine but austere. Keeping in theme, our feature article is a lesson from Takeko Ueki, owner of Habu Textiles, on “how-to read a Japanese knitting pattern.” We also have an in-depth tutorial from Sarah Solomon who has “unvented” her own technique for the perfect, buttonband.

In this issue our departments feature our favorite Japanese stitch and pattern books, sleek yarns, and as always, knitwear for the modern knitter.
