A Knitting Club for Lovers of Romantic Era Literature
A unique knitting club brought to you exclusively from Woolgirl.
Join us for another year as we explore some of the most famous written works of the Romantic era! What was it like for Hester to be forced into wearing the letter A on her gown at all times in Nathaniel Hawthorne’s The Scarlet Letter? How did the last three members of a dying tribe called the Mohicans become the protectors of two daughters of a British Colonel in The Last of the Mohicans by James Fenimore Cooper? And how does Jane come to discover her inner strength after such an isolated childhood in Charlotte Brontë’s tale of Jane Eyre?
The Romantics knitting club promises to have a bit of something for everyone – with a mix of cables, lace, knitted stitches and purls – a knitter could hardly ask for more! The club will feature wonderful designers, talented dyers, and the best yet – some of our favorite writers! Each kit will focus on a well-loved author of the Romantic era along with one of their most famous works.
