Knitting: Beanie, Toque
A double-square number is an integer X which can be expressed as the sum of two perfect squares. For example, 10 is a double-square because 10 = 32 + 12.

Stepped skirt is a light and airy skirt. It is incredibly customizable, and comes in 6 sizes and 5 lengths. The smallest size will fit a 4 year old while the largest will fit an XXL woman.

This is a beautifully, and convientally reversible, textured hat, perfect for men or women. Made of wonderful, angora rabbit yarn, it’s super soft and a little fuzzy. The pattern shows up best in a solid color, but you can also use slightly variegated yarn.

Crochet: Washcloth / Dishcloth, Scrubber
There’s a lot of variety in this pattern. You’ll get two smaller dishcloths, which I personally prefer to the larger ones, a regular sized circular dishcloth, and a scrubbie. You should only need 1 skein of the 4 oz Lily Sugar’n Cream to make them all. Each dishcloth should only take you about an hour, or even less!

The spiderweb hat is a unique design that uses chains to create the desired effect. It is very easy to make and uses very little yarn. A perfect stash buster! It is fun but still looks quite fashionable, and kids love it! Made out of a soft cotton, it’s a great fall or spring hat.

Mr. Octi is a super cute octopus with a unique constriction. He is very easy to make, and there is no sewing involved! He’s easily a project you can finish in a day, making him perfect for last minute gifts.

The truffles blanket is a beautiful lap blanket that uses unique stitch pattern to make the desired effect. It is soft and cozy with an optional ruffle border. With the suggested yarn, the final blanket measures to be about 40x70 inches. Pretty soon, all your friends will want one!

This is only the basic doll body. When it’s done you can make him/her clothes, add hair, eyes, etc. Anything you want! It is made to be very customizable. It is made using size 5 DPNs and worsted weight yarn.

I was working for the Bernard Harris Summer Science Camp at Indiana University when one day one of my fellow counselors wore a hat like this. After shamelessly starring at his head all day, I decided that not only did I have to have one, but I could make it myself! This hat was born.
Crochet: Scarf
This is a lovely scarf, perfect for casual or fancy wear. It is very easy and a quick crochet. Although designed for self striping or slow color changing yarns, such as Noro, It works up great in a solid or multi-colored yarn, and should only use 1 skein. Great for using up some of that extra stash you’ve got lying around!

When my (ex) boyfriend asked me to make him a doll, I went searching for a basic doll body so that I could customize it easily. Alas, I couldn’t find any on Ravelry. So I made my own!
Knitting: Scarf
This is a very simple scarf that changes from one color into another. It’s a quick and fun knit that looks great! It’s great for beginners. It’s done in a 2-2 rib on size 8 needles. Any worsted yarn will work well for this. I used Caron Simply Soft Brights, but there’s no reason another type won’t work.
