Knitting: Cowl
The little stacked blocks of color in this cowl remind me of windows in one of those ubiquitous skyscrapers–tiny peeks into the lives or offices of many people. The joy of incorporating a color changing yarn like Making Tracks Lite is that as the cowl unfolds the views in the windows change, and it’s exciting to see what color is next!

As most of my friends and many of my customers know, I love fingering weight yarns, colors, and stripes! I realized that our Mini Bundles of 10 colors are ideal for using in hats. This is essentially my Mash It Up Hat, but uses 80 yard minis that have become so popular.
Knitting: Cowl
Alternating stripes of fingering weight yarn and fingering weight yarn held with mohair make for a fun (and super simple) texture in this cozy cowl. The generous size make it perfect for keeping necks and chins warm in cooler weather.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
I love a super easy knit for TV watching and reading, and this one doesn’t disappoint! This is a very simple shawl that lets the yarn do all the work. Choose a vibrant skein of Moonglow to contrast beautifully with a rich, monochromatic color of Yearning.
Knitting: Cowl
I thought this would be a fun and easy knit and a great way to create a striking combination of moonglow and sojourn. I often have an easy TV knit for the end of a workday that is visually interesting without being too taxing. Also, these will be great gifts for family members that love a cozy neckwarmer.

Two color stripes give you endless possibilities to express your style. With this hat I was feeling ready for winter so I picked Dried Lavender and Blackbird for a wintery feel, but you can pick any two colors to express your personal sense of style. The three-round stripes give a chic look to this simple hat pattern, which works up quickly and...
Knitting: Scarf
This is a great simple scarf project for those times when you just want the meditative rhythm of knitting. Sometimes I just want to knit - watching TV, sitting outside listening to the birds, or at the end of a long day.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Fingering weight yarn is my favorite weight to work with, and over the past few years I have ended up with quite a collection of partial skeins. I was playing with them one day and thought that knitting a hat with two strands, slowly changing colors, would be a fun way to use some of them up.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
After a day spent dyeing and developing color, my mind often yearns for an effortless project. Although I love lace and more complex knitting, sometimes I just need to relax. At times like those, this is the perfect pattern.

A warm, cozy hat perfect for outdoors in the winter!
Knitting: Cowl
With many gorgeous colors combined in a single skein of yarn, it is often difficult to find a project to properly show them off. This easy cowl provides visual interest via increases and decreases, while allowing the beauty of the yarn to be the true star of the knit.
Knitting: Scarf
This Road Trip was in Mid-September. The leaves had not really started to change to other colors rather having mellowed to old greens as they prepared for true autumn. The roadside grasses had gone tan with burgundy/russet seedheads, the sky was clear and blue.
