The Sunset Sweater uses techniques like half double crochet, single crochet worked in the back loop only for ribbing, increasing and decreasing

The garment has a top – down construction. First is worked the collar in a ribbed pattern. Then the yoke, with a rectangle raglan by increasing in 4 corners. After the yoke is done, it’s divided into sleeves and body. The 3 parts of the sweater are worked separately.

The garment has a drop-shoulder sweater construction. 4 rectangles, back and front panels and sleeves which are seamed together.

This pattern requires techniques as single crochet, single crochet decrease, half double crochet and chain stitches.

We will also need a 25 cm diameter metal ring

This Sweater is a top down sweater. Is worked with 2 different colors.

There is now color pattern that I used. I just used one skein of each color as they come out of the bag

I used for the upper part fingering cotton yarn.

You will need almost the same amount of yarn in each color.

This PDF includes 2 patterns

You will also need 3 small buttons, and 2 stitch markers.

The design of the sweater is to be oversized. If you want you can make it to fit closer.

This cardigan is worked bottom up starting with front and back panels in one single piece.

I worked this dress with 2 strands of yarn. Working with 2 strands, the weight is almost the same with a heavy worsted weight yarn, so you can choose another type of yarn if you want.

NOTES ABOUT DESIGN

The suggested yarn is from Go Handmade but Go Handmade Soft, but it wasn’t in the list.

I used one single Twirl and to extend the sleeves and front panels I used fingering cotton yarn.

This pattern is designed for 1 whirl no matter which size you make but take in consideration that for bigger sizes, if you want to adjust the length or you will need some extra yarn.

I was using 5 mm (H) hook size. If you find it too looser and choose a different size hook, for bigger sizes you might need a Whirlette.

Gauge 20 sts and 10 rows are 11.5 cm (4.5 “)

I used 3 different colors, but you cam use as many colors as you want.

The gauge for this pattern is not important. You can use any type of yarn. I recommend to use one size bigger hook for a lighter scarf.
