I used 2 skeins of “Rocket” and 1 skein of “Sagebrush” from Knit Picks CotLin to make the Lakeside Tote. It’s a sturdy, yet gentle cotton that becomes softer with each wash.

I love my jeans! I mean, I really love my jeans. They are my wardrobe stable so when I came across Cascade 220 Superwash Effects, I knew I needed to design a hat that would be the perfect accompaniment to my favorite pair of stonewashed blue jeans.

I designed an openwork slouch hat that would allow me to use one of my favorite yarns, Knit Picks City Tweed DK, even in the warmer months!

I’m a huge fan of Knit Picks Chroma Fingering yarn. The long colorways in Chroma produce the most beautiful, yet very natural color transitions and I fall in love with the yarn every time I use it. I designed the “Dear Diary Scarf” with the Dear Diary colorway. The shades of gray are enlivened by pops of pink.

My Newborn Photographer friend asked me to design a knit-look bonnet with a matching stretchy baby wrap specifically for photography sessions. The detail on the bonnet and wrap combine to make a beautiful newborn photography session. Mohair makes this piece incredibly soft and creates a “dreamy” new baby look.

This design was created using the Trellis Waves Stitch as part of The Battle of the Stitches Round 9.

The Checkerboard Slouch has a great texture and a fun stitch composition. The pattern looks great in 2 (or more) colors and also looks great in a solid color. I recommend using a light worsted weight yarn. My pattern testers had great results with Red Heart Soft, Bernat Sheep-ish, Deborah Norville Everyday Soft, and Caron Simply Soft.
