Errata Switch to color B (optional) and knit in stockinette (knit all stitches) until piece measures 9 inches from CO edge (from the longest part of the scalloped edge).

This hat is as versatile as it is warm. You can knit it longer or shorter before decreasing depending on how much of a slouch you like. The brim can be folded up for a double brim or kept long. There is very little decreasing so this is a great pattern for the beginning knitter.
