Knitting: Pullover
A nod to Maine’s original flag, the tree motif on this pullover is knit using the intarsia method, which can be left off if desired. One of my most favorite things about woolen-spun yarns like Peace Fleece is the way they bloom to fill the spaces in and around the stitches worked at a slightly looser gauge, creating a soft, sweatshirt-like fabr...
Knitting: Cowl
This cowl version of the Hyssop Shawl is worked flat, starting at the bottom point, and joins in the round to create a textured cowl that is easy to knit, and shaped to keep easily in place when bundling up in cold temps.

Dropped stitches, fringe, stripes, and worked in the round…Leila has made a delicious project for us to savor. A celebration of our all-natural, botanically dyed Willet, Aiona uses one skein of all five shades (and is available as a kit!).
Knitting: Tee
Leila Raven’s Deschain, a Quince fan favorite, gets an update for us to drool over. Here, the dropped stitch shale motif shifted from being a center panel to a pretty hem all around the bottom edge of this roomy, wide-necked dolman tee. And, it is worked up in our little Sparrow, yielding a lightweight piece for effortless warm-weather wearing.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
A feathery twisted stitch motif is the basis for Leila’s pretty Tern socks, originally part of Quince Quarterly’s winter 2020 offering. Worked from cuff to toe, the tiny rib-like elements come together so perfectly with a slipped-stitch heel flap and a stockinette sole for comfort.

We all swooned when we saw this duster—it has such an impact and looks amazing on every height, whether the low back hem reaches the high calf, or goes all the way down to your shoes. The deep scoop neck and slim, bracelet length sleeves are so flattering, and Sparrow’s amazing drape is showcased in the front and back color block panels.
Knitting: Pullover
We love Leila’s striped raglan, with its high, wide ballet neck and fitted yoke; its cool striping pattern; its raw-edge sleeve cuffs and hem. We went monochromatic on this piece, but Sparrow’s palette offers so much in the way of making it your own.
Knitting: Cowl
This warm but weightless cowl was featured in our first installment of Quince Quarterly level 1, in Winter Twenty Nineteen. Irresistibly soft in our lace weight Piper, this cowl is covered in waves of cables and is written for two lengths for plenty of woolly warmth.
Knitting: Cardigan
Loire maximizes the drape of Tern by including two wide front panels alternating bands of eyelets and simple lace—the pleasure of working the front panels and the simplicity of a top-down raglan makes this so irresistible!
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Leila hits the nail on the head in the shawl department once again, using as Nix’s border a single, sculptural cable, framed by simple lace. The border is shaped with short rows, then stitches are picked up all along the slinky cable, and a simple garter body ensues with center decreases. We love the styling potential for this piece!
Knitting: Tee
This cool tee features welted stripes that shift along the front and back center. Worked in the round from the bottom up, with short row shaping in the shoulders, this is a fun and easy knit. Though simple, the interrupted stripes give this piece some high drama.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
With its textured lace motif reminiscent of cicadas, Bayou announces the steamy days and cool nights of summer in a big way, especially when paired with our airy linen Kestrel. Using one of her favorite ways to construct a shawl—sideways, starting and ending with one stitch—Leila designed this piece to be a satisfying and quick knit.
Knitting: Tee
We adore Leila’s Bolan tee: Knitted sideways in four pieces—two panels for the front, two for the back—worked from the center out to the ends of the short sleeves, this one is a fun knit for sure; and the gorgeous textured lace panel in the yoke flatters the collarbones, making it a piece you’ll want to grab all the time.
Knitting: Pullover

Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Shelley’s ample dimensions and unfussy welting spell easy knitting and cozy wearing. Knitted in two pieces results in perpendicular lines contrasting the wrap’s left half from right. Holes for arms to go through make this substantial piece suitable to bundle up in as a garment or a scarf.
Knitting: Pullover
Poe’s subtle details are what make this otherwise simple bottom-up raglan shine: A pretty slip-stitch honeycomb pattern that gently shapes the front hem without using short rows, and cabled decreases that create beautifully polished lines in the yoke. In our pretty mohair/merino Piper, this sweet pullover sings.
Knitting: Pullover
A warm, wooly pullover, Gabrielle is a winterized update of a fan favorite, the Deschain Tee in linen Kestrel. This cold-weather sweater is written for a new gauge in Osprey with updated sizing and construction, additional body and sleeve length for warmth, and short rows to gently shape the back. And, of course, that gorgeous lace motif!

Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The idea for this shawl came about by letting the yarn tell me what it wants to be. Killington has a gorgeous sheen with killer stitch definition and gives an almost chiseled appearance to the soft fabric. It begged to be worked in my favorites—textured and botanical motifs.
