Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Treat your toes to these cosy socks, featuring a poetic stitch pattern. This design was inspired by the diamanté poem form. Seven lines are used to link two nouns using a simple formula; it’s a fantastic way to encourage children to begin to write poetry.
Knitting: Bookmark
I can’t bear to fold down the corner of a page to mark my place so there are always plenty of bookmarks around at home. Knitted ones are ideal for using up the last scraps of a special yarn and they make excellent little presents slipped into a card in the post.
Knitting: Convertible Gloves
Flip-tops are worked first from the top down, then placed on hold. Hand is worked from the wrist up and joined to flip-top, then the thumb is worked. Directions are given for three-colour version, for a plain mitten simply use one colour throughout.
Knitting: Cardigan
This adorable garment is fun to knit with a clever diagonal construction. The yoke is worked side-to-side including the sleeves i.e. from cuff to cuff.
Knitting: Food Cozy
Keep those pesky flies away from your delicious picnic with these hand knitted covers - and you can knit one tonight!
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
This pretty design is a quick knit, perfect for gifts. The pattern’s sized from todller to adult, so why not make some for all the family.
