Knitting: Tote
If you’d like to create a bag that mimics your dream figure, this is it. Customize this felted bag any way you can imagine. Add a tattoo, a piercing, some tassels, an outy belly button or go naked. The possibilities are endless.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
Knitting: Scarf
Looking at this scarf, you might think that the vertical rows of contrast stripes are an afterthought, something that was adding at the end, perhaps with duplicate stitch or a crochet chain. That is not the case here. They are worked in as the scarf progresses, sort of like intarsia but not quite. But don’t let it scare you away. Once you disco...
Knitting: Brimmed Hat
Throughout the trial and error process of designing this hat, I used different textures of yarn. The result was 2 slightly different versions, one that has enough body to keep the crown shape a bit flat and another version that has a drapeier, softer shape. For a firmer shape, I’ve concluded that the first important thing to consider if substit...
Knitting: Tote
This bag is constructed using the Modular knitting method. Each square and triangle is made individually and stitches are picked up as you go into the adjacent pieces.

Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This hat is worked from the top down. The crown is worked flat and the body of the hat is picked up and worked in the round. I’ve included some diagrams to help with the assembly of the crown which is actually rather simple. A set of 4 dpns will be all that’s needed to finish the hat unless you prefer to use a circular.

Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This is another deviation from the original Argosy
Knitting: Stocking
This pattern as written is sized for a child’s head. To make it larger, try working it up in bulkier yarn and larger needles.
Knitting: Drawstring Bag
Please note that this is not a typical pattern. It is to be used along with the original Festive Fish pattern by Paula Levy published in the Summer 1998 issue of Knitter’s magazine. The chart is included for working two rows of fish side by side.
Knitting: Scarf
Knitting: Necklace
This little heart is worked in the modular way with a larger mitered triangle made first and then 2 smaller garter stitch triangles added at the top. I stuffed mine with yarn scraps but it could be filled with some kind of scented sachet.
Knitting: Washcloth / Dishcloth
This would be a great project for learning a new technique. It’s easier than you might think and the possibilities are endless.
Knitting: Washcloth / Dishcloth
This is a super simple dishcloth with a twist. The nubbins are created by casting on then immediately binding off these new stitches.

Made for Breast Cancer Awareness
Knitting: Scarf
This is a quick and easy scarf set. Stitches/technique used: garter stitch and short rows.
Knitting: Scarf
And easy project, this scarf started from a vintage stitch pattern book. It can be made wider or narrower by adding/subtracting in multiples of 6 stitches. Try a yarn substitution and use the recommended needle size on the ball band. Consider making up a swatch to see if you like the results but gauge is not important unless you want the match ...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
While I really like the look this pattern creates, I have to be honest--it snags like crazy. If you decide to work this design up, you may want to use something other than the Habu Cotton Gima (blue part). A lace weight mohair would be excellant, I suspect.

An alternate suggested yarn is Noro Kureyon (2 skeins).
