I did not have any hats until a couple of months ago. I own one now because I met a woman who always wears hats, and her sense of style made me want to have a hat. She wears very simple clothes, but her hats make her fashion statement. Her hats are not too decorative but striking in style, and just simple enough to match everyday clothes. The h...

I needed a knitted top for a special event in Japan. The event was in the fall, and I wanted the knitted top to match their seasonal style. Also, of course, I wanted to wear it in the warm climate here in Arizona. I designed a vest with large armholes so I can wear it with a tank top for a cool and breezy look, or I can wear it with a long slee...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
I started to make a poncho with a vertical Dropped Cable stitch pattern. I seamed it, then I tried it on… and I was surprised that it was an uncomfortable fit. The vertical cables were right next to my arm and did not have any stretch! So I put it into a time-out.
