Gerty is a fingering weight traditional wool yarn made 100% in the US. It’s spun from Targhee wool, a breed developed from Rambouillet, Lincoln, and Corriedale. We’ve partnered with a mill in the Eastern US to create a beautiful bouncy, soft, wearable 100% wool yarn that we are proud to dye.

Here’s more info on the origin of Targhee Sheep.

Here’s more information on Gerty Cori, for which the yarn is named.

We recommend hand washing to extend the life of your project. Always use cold water! If you use soap, please use a product developed for washing handmade items such as Soak; never use detergents.

Check out our Pinterest page and Ravelry for project ideas. We’d love to see your creations, share them in our Ravelry Group.

See our list or map of shops to find an Anzula store near you.

If your local shop doesn’t carry Gerty you can always place a special order. Anzula takes special orders from all shops that carry Anzula yarns.

Every Anzula yarn is available in every colorway; keep in mind that each fiber blend will take dye differently. No special order is too small, you can even order just one skein. Check with your favorite Anzula retailer to order.
