Tussah Tweed
Tussah Tweed is an exciting and exclusive yarn with fine tweed nepsies and a very interesting stitch definition. It is processed from the cocons of wild butterflies which are allowed to flee the cocon before it is processed into silk. Thus Tussah Tweed can be called a “cruelty-free silk”. Tussah Tweed is very stable and feels a bit rough at the beginning, but gets softer and softer the more you wash and wear it. For this reason, it is not only suitable for hand knitting, but also for the knitting machine, for weaving and embroidery.
