Creatively re-envisioning excess production, we twisted three strands of lace weight yarn, worsted spun from fine Rambouillet fleeces, into a plush 6-ply DK weight cable reminiscent of couture knitwear. This high-twist treatment results in a luxuriously soft and springy yarn with excellent stitch definition and durability.

FIBER CHARACTERISTICS

Loftier and bouncier than Merino wool, finewool Rambouillet fleeces from Wyoming are worsted spun into feather-light 2-ply strands. “Re-plied” as a trio in a second spinning process, the result is a lush, springy 6-ply cabled yarn with surprising resilience and elasticity, crisply rendering textured stitches and draping beautifully in smooth fabrics.

GAUGES

Re•Ply Rambouillet’s plush worsted-spun construction is suitable for a wonderful range of gauges and can be used interchangeably with Arbor and Dapple:

5¼ - 6 stitches to 1”
Suggested Needle: 3.75 - 4.5 mm (US 5 - 7)
Suggested Hook: 4.5 - 5.5 mm (US 7 - I-9)

DYE PROCESS

Re•Ply Rambouillet is spun from naturally white wool, then skein dyed into a saturated palette of solid shades that beautifully sets off the soft luster of its finewool fiber.

CARE

This yarn is a handcrafted product. For best results, we recommend alternating skeins when joining in a new skein for even color distribution.
