The Pommernglück FEIN is a so-called single yarn, a single-ply, untwisted knitting yarn in DK weight made from the wool of the coarse-wooled Pomeranian sheep. The lanolin, which it still contains in abundance, gives it a slightly waxy feel that cares for your hands even as you knit.

Long native to the island of Rügen, the Pomeranian sheep can still be found there today, especially on the Zicker Mountains on beautiful Mönchgut. With panoramic views of the Bodden and the Baltic Sea, the sheep live a very idyllic life there. The wool of the coarse-wooled Pomeranian sheep is produced entirely in Germany.
