This is the old, old put up of Candide from back in the day. Once upon a time, Candide was made by Candide Yarns of Woodbury CT. Then they were bought by Reynolds. While the current Candide is essentially the same as the old, it’s made in a different mill by a different company, it is slightly different and some of us are old enough to remember the old stuff.
It’s the original scratchy, durable, woolly yarn with bits of straw in it. But it lasts forever, is washable (and gets softer with washing!), and doesn’t pill.
