I’ll never forget the first time I came upon a banyan tree in Sarasota Florida. The amazing structure continued on for an entire block, creating and dropping new branches to morph into roots. These entwined strands created a magical environment in which one could get lost. Drawing inspiration from this impressive natural architecture we created our 50g skein that turns multiple strands of viscose and cotton into a soft double knit weight. Under closer inspection one observes how Banyan mimics the structure of its namesake across the 102m/111yd length. The fibre content is especially well suited for warm weather garment construction.
