This ubiquitous fine fingering weight 4-ply yarn is super soft and strong; durable for accessories and soft for next-to-skin items. You can’t go wrong! One hank makes an average-sized pair of socks with yarn to spare or a super-slouchy hat or a cuddly shawl (or a nice baby sweater, or a cowl…). More than one and the possibilities are endless!

It is Merino wool, so not quite as hardy as some long-staple breeds. Please use a tight gauge for longest lasting socks.

NB: starting April 2024 I am sourcing this base locally. It is very similar, a bit softer with slightly more yardage 487y or 445m per 100g. I have not yet switched over the data above but will do so as I get more into circulation.

Despite the superwash treatment, hand washing and air drying your garments will assure them a long, beautiful life.
