A heads up for those with older stashes. The new DROPS Cotton Light differs greatly from the original. The fiber content has changed to 50% cotton, 50% polyester micro from what it used to be: 60% cotton, 40% acrylic. The yardage of the new yarn is also less (115 yds. instead of 120 yds.).

Although the color numbers match (i.e. pink = 05) the colors can be very different. 05 is still a pink but it’s a ballet pink instead of a true rosy pink.

The greatest change is due to the change in fiber content. This gives the new yarn a slight sheen that the old one lacks. It looks smoother and very different from the original version. It is not recommended to mix the old and the new Cotton Light.
