Kid Seta Tweed was created for knitters who love the depth and character of hand-dyed yarns but prefer the consistency and reliability of a professionally spun yarn.

It begins with exactly the same silk-mohair blend used in Kid Seta. The mohair is produced exclusively for Gepard in South Africa before being sent to Italy, where it undergoes a unique spinning process. Individual mohair fibres are dyed before spinning, and then blended from three to four carefully selected shades to create each colour.
The silk core remains its natural light colour in every shade. Particularly in darker colours, this creates a subtle inner glow that gives Kid Seta Tweed its distinctive appearance.

The long, even mohair fibres provide the same exceptional softness and minimal shedding as Kid Seta. After washing, the yarn blooms beautifully, becoming even softer while developing the light halo that defines high-quality silk-mohair.

Knitted on its own, Kid Seta Tweed reveals its full colour complexity in simple garments and accessories. Used as a companion yarn, it creates a subtle veil of shifting colour around the main yarn, softening contrasts and adding depth without overwhelming the overall design.

It pairs beautifully with yarns such as Woolia, Pura Lana, My Wool and Puno, adding richness and texture while allowing stitch patterns and construction details to remain clearly visible.
