This sock yarn is a refreshing blend of wool, silk and linen. Where conventional sock yarns use nylon for resistance to the intense wear and tear of socks, in this yarn the linen helps protecting against abrasion. The yarn has some character and nice stitch definition. However, the linen content also makes it less soft than a pure merino yarn. The linen fibers come from the Baltic States. The sheep are kept without mulesing.
