Yarnadelic Worsted
We love a good bop here at John Arbon Textiles, which got us thinking that it would be wonderful to create a yarn range inspired by our eclectic music tastes – from punk to funk! And so, the Yarnadelic palette was born during an evening of good vibes and chilled wine, with each shade conjuring the sentiment of a favourite song.
Yarnadelic is spun out of 100% Falklands Corriedale, which is a breed that’s around 100 years old, derived by crossing Merino with Lincoln Longwool. It is one of our favourite fibres as it’s the perfect balance of delightful softness and bounce from the Merino combined with the slight lustre and long staple length of the Lincoln Longwool.
The composition of Yarnadelic really lends itself to a thicker weight as Corriedale’s lofty nature means it won’t become too heavy even when used for a really big project. We spun the Worsted weight up into a rounded 3-fold structure which enhances the fibre’s natural stitch definition and drape. It’s a wonderful all-round yarn, great for everything from cables to lace and garments to accessories.
Every shade of Yarnadelic is named after a song. Check out the playlist on Spotify. Then sit back and click those needles and wave those hooks to the beat! We hope you’ll find this groovy range of melange shades inspiring.
